DO NOT USE - NO WAY TO CANCEL PAYMENT
I signed up for the monthly plan, they billed YEARLY and there is no way to end the subscription
Fish Audio TTS is a scam, hidden pricing, the cost of Fish Audio TTS is absurd for the quality.
I’ve been experiencing the same issue with Fish Audio’s subscription cancellation process. It seems impossible to cancel the subscription directly via their website fish.audio , and the only option they provide is through email. However, they don’t respond to emails, which is extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
According to U.S. consumer protection laws, companies are required to provide a clear and accessible way for customers to cancel subscriptions. Making cancellation difficult or unresponsive is not only unethical but also potentially illegal.
Since Fish Audio uses Stripe as their payment provider, you might be able to dispute the charge directly through Stripe or your bank. Stripe has policies in place to protect consumers from fraudulent or unfair practices, so it’s worth reaching out to them for assistance.
In my case, I contacted my credit card company and explained the situation. They were able to reverse the charge and block any future payments to Fish Audio. Additionally, my credit card company informed me that they would be launching an investigation into Fish Audio’s practices due to the number of complaints and the lack of a proper cancellation process.
If you’re struggling to cancel your subscription, I highly recommend contacting your credit card provider as a last resort. They may be able to help you recover your money and prevent further charges.
I hope this helps others who are dealing with the same issue.
If somebody is reading this, I would like to share an important warning. Please do not subscribe to Fish Audio.
Once you make a purchase, you cannot cancel the subscription. There is no proper option to manage or stop your subscription, and after the payment is done, it becomes almost impossible to even find a way to cancel it.
I am sharing this so that others do not fall into the same trap. Please be very careful before subscribing.
@BornForAi It’s unbelievable that Stripe payments allow a merchant to operate without providing customers a proper way to cancel their subscriptions.
I want to share my experience as well. I reported this issue to Stripe, since Fish Audio uses Stripe as their payment provider. Unfortunately, it has now been 13 days since I filed my complaint and Stripe has not taken any visible action. The merchant is still able to accept payments through Stripe without providing any proper cancellation option to customers.
For anyone affected: the payments are processed by Stripe, so if you are having trouble cancelling, you can also reach out to Stripe directly and file a complaint. They are supposed to investigate merchants who violate consumer rights or make cancellation intentionally difficult.
It’s frustrating to see that nothing has changed yet, but the more people report this to Stripe, the harder it will be for them to ignore the problem.
After you make a payment, there’s always a ‘Manage Subscription’ button on your plan page.
While there is indeed a ‘Manage Subscription’ button on the plan page, it does not provide any option to cancel the subscription. This leaves users effectively locked in without a proper way to end their plan. On top of that, emails sent to support@fish.audio — as stated in your own terms and conditions — remain unanswered.
It is very concerning that you suddenly appear here to respond on the forum while ignoring direct support requests from paying customers. Please be reminded that under consumer protection laws, companies are required to provide a clear and accessible way to cancel subscriptions. Failing to do so is not only unprofessional, but also potentially illegal.

Yeah, but no option to cancel the subscription.
